More than just a gym membership, SilverSneakers participants are offered specialized exercise classes, health education and social programs that have been shown to help older adults maintain good health, reduce health care costs and lead an active, independent lifestyle. The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program is an innovative health, exercise and wellness program helping older adults live healthy, active lifestyles. SilverSneakers also provides opportunities to:

FITNESS

Try a class - on land or in water, workout on your own, utilize our fitness trainers, there are many ways to get your workout at the Bob Freesen Y!

 

We have land and water classes that are all part of your membership! Plus we have a fitness trainer on staff for a fee, or Redbird Fitness training in our Redbird Fitness and Redbird Fitness Kids if those work for you.

 

The Bob Freesen Y has aerobic classes, yoga, PiYo classes, Pilates Matwork, Seniorcise land and Aquafit, Waterworks, Slimnastics and Senior Exercise in the water also.

 

Like to bike?  Try our Spinning Classes offered at different times of the day or night.

 

Want to dance? We even have Ballroom Dance classes on Wednesday evenings in the assembly room - so you can practice your "Dancing with the Stars" moves. Or Tuesdays nights there is a Tap Dance class to get those feet tapping to the beat.

 

Want to try something a little different and not harmful to the joints, we offer reformer training sessions to help you on your way.
